What time can we check in?

Check in is from 2 pm and in certain cases before this time if the room is ready. The hotel and its amenities can be used all day.

When should the rooms be vacated on the day of departure?

We kindly ask you to vacate the rooms until 10 am. The hotel and its amenities can be used all day.

From what age is child minding available?

Child minding is available for children and toddlers from the age of 3 weeks upwards.

What are the child minding times?

Child minding is Monday to Saturday from 9.30 am to 8 pm and Sundays from 9.30 am to 4 pm.
Could you please fill out the children`s pass for when the children are alone with the minders, with information about special needs for the children and also where the parents are to be found.
The children are also accompanied at mealtimes.

As far as possible we try to also fulfil further guest requirements.

What’s included (for children and adults)?

All day drinks from the juice bar, coffee, cocoa and tea.
Breakfast, lunch, cake and cold cuts buffet, evening meal and fruit basket.
If you need a lunch packet you can put your own together during breakfast.
All drinks and food consumed outside of the mealtimes will be charged to your room.

Which products are used in the kitchen?

Beef comes mainly from our own farm, some beef is bought from outside sources.
Pork and poultry are only bought from Austrian producers.
Milk and milk products are bought from the dairy in Maishofen.
Bread comes from our local bakers Tildach and Ensmann.
Fruit and vegetables are bought from Wedl and Dick in Saalfelden.

No smoking zones?

The complete restaurant is a no smoking zone as are all guest rooms and hotel areas. You can smoke in the bar or in the garden.

How does the bike rental work?

Trekking and City bikes are included in the price and can be rented at any time. The Tauern bike path is about 100 metres from the hotel. If you come with your own bicycles you can store them in our bicycle garage. Free locks are at your disposal.

Prams and pushchairs?

Prams and pushchairs are also included in the price and we can also provide a storage area for your own pushchair.

Hotel excursions?

If you want to go on one of our excursions then all you have to do is put your name, room number and number of people in the book at the reception at least one day before the excursion takes place. On some excursions you have to take your own car and parents can also take part in the pony trekking.

Where and how can I rent skis?

The hotels beginners ski course?

The 4 day course takes place directly behind the hotel, it`s for children aged three and a half and upwards. There is a conveyor belt to help the children get up the hill along with 2 ski teachers plus child minders depending on the size of the group.

The last day of the course usually takes place on the practice run on the Pass Thurn, this however depends on the progress made during the first 3 days. The course costs €20 per day (approx 2 hours per day ), the rental costs for boots and skis are €8 per day.

How do I book an advance ski course?

The beginners courses take place on the practice run on the Pass Thurn advanced courses on the normal runs. Meeting point for all courses is the cable car station in Hollersbach at 9.30 am. You can book your course either at the hotel or directly with the ski school. A five day course costs 128 euros per person in the group ( 4 hours ), a one day private lesson ( 4 hours ) costs 165 euros. You can find more information at www.stefans-schischule.at.

How long is the drive to the ski areas?

Panoramabahn Hollersbach is about 10 minutes drive and the skibus stops at the crossroads by the hotel.
Kitzsteinhorn Kaprun: approx 40 minutes by car
Schmittenhöhe Zell am See: approx 40 minutes by car
Wildkogelbahn Neukirchen: approx 20 minutes by car

What ist he free cross country skiing course?

This free course for beginners and advanced skiers takes place every Monday and Tuesday with our cross country ski teacher Günter. On Wednesday there is a cross country excursion with a stop at one of the pubs along the way. The skating technique is also taught during this course.

Where can I go tobogganing?

In Mittersill the Mong toboggan run is floodlit and is approximately 15 minutes walk from the hotel otherwise the 14 km long toboggan run in Neukirchen which is also floodlit and is approximately 20 minutes by car.

Is there a skating rink?

There is a rink about 5 minutes walk from the hotel you can also play ice hockey and on some evenings the rink is floodlit, skates can be rented at the club house.

When are the riding courses?

Riding lessons are available to children aged 7 and older. Younger children are only allowed to ride with prior experience and after talking with the riding teacher. The courses are held in the hotels own riding school.

Sauna from 2 pm to 6 pm ( please ask for other opening times )
Massage and treatments: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11 am to 6 pm
Wednesday and Sunday from 3 pm to 6 pm

The swimming course?

The swimming course is every week from Monday to Friday. Children from 8 months onwards can take part, there are a maximum of 7 children in the group.

Bath robes and towels?

Towels for use in the sauna are in your room, bath robes for adults and children can be collected at the reception free of charge.

How can I book a tee time?

Either at the reception or directly at the golf club, please state your handicap when reserving a tee time.

How do I pay for the Green fees?

Pick up a voucher at the reception to receive the discounted green fee.

What are the Green fee prices?

Ball machine: 24 balls for €2
Try out golf hour: €5 (children 8 years and older)

Can I play in a tournament?

Sure, just tell us the name of your club and handicap and we will register you or you can do it directly at the golf club, the starting times will be posted the night before the tournament.

How can I book a golf course?

Either at the reception or directly in the Pro shop at the golf club.

What happens in the try out golf hour?

Every Monday and Friday on the driving range you have the chance to try out golf, you can learn the basics of golf and try and hit some balls. It costs €5 per person for the rental of the clubs and balls.

How many rooms does the hotel have?

38 rooms made up of 12 family rooms and 26 apartments.

Is there an internet connection?

There is a connection for notebooks in every room which is included in the room price, a normal connecting cable is needed or you can get one from the reception. A Wi-Fi connection is available in the bar area.

Yes of course. Could you please tell us the details when you make your reservation.

How do the baby-monitors work?

We use small walkie talkies with an operating distance of 5 kilometres. They work throughout the hotel.

Is there a doctor in Mittersill?

In Mittersill there is a children`s doctor, 2 general practitioners, a sports medecine practitioner, 3 dentists, 2 gynaecologists an internist and an ear nose and throat specialist.

Where is the next hospital?

Approximately 2 minutes drive from the hotel.
