Varied Weekly Programme Monday to Friday exciting Activities for Children and Teenagers

Holiday time is adventure time – at least with us. Our vibrant children’s programme at Hotel Felben proves it. Every week, it’s freshly tailored to different age groups, offering a wide variety of activities that leave no room for boredom. We make sure there’s something for every child: while some race around on bikes, compete in the softball arena, or build dams in the great outdoors, others are captivated by our petting zoo, lose themselves in painting and crafts, or eagerly await the next film at our children’s cinema. To ensure everything runs smoothly, we rely on a trained team of caregivers at our family hotel with children’s programme in the Salzburger Land – full of empathy, energy, and fresh ideas.

Sample programme in detail

Monday

Family mountain excursion: together with our childcare team, we head up into the mountains and enjoy breathtaking views of the valley and the peaks of the Hohe Tauern National Park. There are plenty of small and big things to discover in nature along the way. Using the treasures we find – from pine cones to wildflowers and stones – we create beautiful, creative nature artworks together. It’s a wonderful adventure for young and old!

Tuesday

Crafting with natural materials: in this part of our diverse children’s programme at Hotel Felben, creativity knows no limits. Using the treasures that nature provides, children create beautiful, handmade artworks. These unique crafts make perfect gifts for parents or grandparents – or serve as lovely souvenirs from their holiday. It’s a fun and imaginative way to connect with nature while letting young minds wander freely.

Wednesday

Pony excursion: this outing with a carriage, golf cart, and ponies is always a fantastic experience – even for children who already know Hotel Felben well. Everyone gets a chance to ride a pony and take turns in the carriage or electric golf cart. Later, we gather around a campfire to grill sausages, and at the pond near our rest area, we say hello to frogs and other small creatures. It’s a fun‑filled adventure for the whole family!

Thursday

Hay harvest like in Grandpa’s time: who remembers how farmers used to work in the fields? On a nearby meadow, children – with support and supervision from our caregivers – can try mowing the grass with a scythe, just like in the old days. Afterward, the freshly cut grass is raked together and hung up to dry. Through this playful activity, the children discover how grass becomes hay and how the hay later feeds the animals on our farm. It’s a fun and educational experience for young and old alike!

Friday

Stone chiselling: equipped with a hammer and safety goggles, we set off on an excursion to a nearby mountain lake in search of glittering stones and crystals. While the little treasure hunters enthusiastically chisel away at the rocks, parents can relax and enjoy the beautiful alpine surroundings. The bravest might even take a dip in the cool mountain water. Each child can take their favourite gemstones home as a special keepsake from the adventure – a perfect memory from a family holiday with children’s programme in the Salzburger Land.

Saturday

Tractor Cleaning and Ride: Together with our caregivers, the children will help clean Farmer Toni’s tractor from top to bottom. Once it's sparkling clean, we take a fun ride around Felben in the freshly polished tractor. Later, everyone works together to build a road in the sandbox for the rabbits and guinea pigs. A hands-on and exciting activity for the whole group!
